Sometime during last week, a mysterious piece of street art appeared overnight in Windsor Berkshire, sparking a flurry of speculation and debate—and, of course, the inevitable whispers of “Is it a Banksy or Not?” 

OK WHATS IT LIKE ?

The mural is located on a brick wall at Ward Royal on Charles Street, opposite the Windsor Yards multi-storey car park.  It depicts a silhouette of a royal guard, complete with the iconic bearskin cap and traditional grey uniform—but instead of holding a rifle, the guard holds a spray-paint can

Next to the figure are stencilled red letters reading:

GOD SAVE THE KING

It’s appears to be a clever twist on a royal motto, and the tone is both subversive and playful—exactly the kind of layered commentary people associate with Banksy’s.
